For this assignment, we were given the task of modeling a spaceship based off a front and side view drawing. We were given the freedom to be creative with our concepts. I chose the video game, PacMan, as my concept. I wanted my piece to look like a vintage arcade machine that had been used and has aged.
Modeling this piece was difficult at the time because of all of the organic shapes. I used a lattice to help create the glass hood. I took a sphere and cut it in half to make the bottom section. I manipulated cylinders to make the engine of the jet. I used an extruded plane to create the wings.
I tried to make my textures match the materials you would see on an arcade machine. For the chair, I used a low spec map. I used the colors red and white sine that is what I always imagine booth chairs. To maintain the pacman theme, I used a navy metal
